Summarise your challenge
After your consultation, we’ll prepare a written Case Summary outlining the key facts of your situation. You’ll review and approve this summary to make sure everything is accurate. This step is completely free and gives you a clear record of your challenge.
Decide whether to proceed
If you decide to move forward, you’ll be appointed a dedicated UK-based consultant.

Solicitor engagement process
Your ChallengeMy consultant will guide you through a structured, transparent process that keeps you both informed and in control.
Limited Power of Attorney (POA)
By agreeing to our terms and conditions, your consultant will have a limited POA authorising ChallengeMy to liaise with solicitors and receive information about your case. This allows us to manage communication efficiently on your behalf, but not to take decisions or bind you.
Shortlist of solicitors
Based on your needs and preferences, your consultant will provide a shortlist from ChallengeMy’s partner firms. These will be solicitors who we feel are best suited to your case. You can amend or replace your shortlist at any time. ChallengeMy is only as strong as the people and firms of solicitors who work with us.
Fee proposals
Your consultant will share your Case Summary with the shortlisted firms to obtain fee proposals and outline how each can help. All proposals are shared with you in full, along with your consultant’s impartial view to help you make an informed choice.
Engagement
Your consultant will join you in meeting your preferred solicitor. Once you’ve chosen your firm, your consultant will review the draft engagement letter and summarise the key points so you fully understand what you’re signing.
Ongoing Consultant Support
ChallengeMy consultants remain actively involved throughout – ensuring communication stays clear, progress remains on track and costs are managed fairly.
Consultant support process
1. Introductory meeting – The consultant joins the initial meeting with the solicitor after engagement to ensure a smooth handover and shared understanding of the case.
2. Case monitoring – Consultants stay informed of case developments and maintain regular contact with both customer and solicitor.
3. Weekly check‑ins – A 30‑minute call between the consultant and customer takes place each week to review progress and address any questions.
4. Time and cost oversight – Consultants monitor the time and costs reported by the solicitor weekly, helping to ensure billing remains fair and proportionate.
5. Additional support – Extra time with your consultant is available if required. Additional costs will always be confirmed in advance.
